Animal Crossing: City Folk Deluxe is an unofficial patch for Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City that introduces new content and gameplay changes. It can be played on any homebrew-enabled Wii or Wii U via Riivolution; no backup images or hardware mods needed. Online play is mostly supported again thanks to the services of Wiimmfi and WiiLink24!

This mod is in active development, so there's no playable release yet. I'm still looking for help with the Korean localization. If you are interested, you can contact me on my Discord server.

Features

Deluxe enhances the game by incorporating lots of new content as well as gameplay changes. This section outlines the mod's highlights, though a full changelog will be added here in the future.

• Over 150 villagers from other games in the series return! Full list below.
• All 94 official DLC items are available, including unreleased ones.
• Over 20 completely new items can be obtained.
• Unfinished and unused items have been restored.
• Holidays and events are no longer region-locked.
• Many new rewards for completionists have been added.
• Online services are offered via Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24.
• Resetti's appearance can be disabled.
• Grass deterioration and regrowth can be toggled.
• Flower parching can be disabled.
• Hybridization rates have been increased.
• Bottle mail occasionally washes up on the beach.
• "Message of the Week" and "Talking to Myself" have been restored.
• Already donated items are now excluded from selection.
• Special visitors are more likely to visit town.
• Gulliver will always appear if he is scheduled to visit town.
• Doubled the spawn chance for balloons.
• Items are no longer picked up when running with Z.
• Item generation has been completely changed to ensure item availability.
• Many item prices have been rebalanced.
• More items can be repurchased from the catalog.
• Many furniture-related changes have been made.

Villagers

Deluxe massively expands the villager roster by adding over 150 new ones as listed below. Most of the villagers exclusive to the GameCube games are not included, but they may be added sporadically in the future. Due to limitations, some villagers can't be added back at all.

Compatibility

This mod works on real Wii and Wii U consoles. It is compatible with all commercially-released versions of the game and with existing save data. Before playing the mod, you can decide whether you want to use your system's save data or create a new external save file. All new features are fully compatible with other modded and non-modded save files when playing via Wiimmfi.
